I suggest you ...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

  1. Word and phrase proximity checker to prevent repitition.

    Most people have a slew of language traits they'll unwittingly use in general conversation. This happens (to a lesser extent admittedly) in their written work; cliches, favoured personal phrases and blindness word repetition can denigrate otherwise commendable prose. This, I think, could be remedied with the use of a software algorithm that could scan a written piece, analyse it and report the proximity and overuse of such words and terms.

      • Grades

        Suggest you do not show overall grade. I had a college student student whose writing definitely does not deserve 94% (not even for high school student.) The grade is very misleading to the student who expected an A for this essay! Here is the sample of his/her writing:
        ===================================================
        Today a lot of people use technology such as computers, smartphones, and tablets to get information, to buy something, and to communicate with family and friends. Since technology has been developed, people’s lives have also been changed. One of the examples is that many companies have started to sell their products…

        • Highlight in a different color(s) long sentences or have a way to toggle through long sentences.

          From what I have read, there is a relationship between the length of a sentence and the probability that it will be grammatically incorrect (for those who struggle with writing). Perhaps sentences between 20 and 30 words could be color coded purple and anything over 30 words would be set to red.
